Certificate from the Royal Humane Society, in part: "It was Resolved Unanimously that Ambrose Dunwoody, Police Constable, is justly entitled to the Honorary Testimonial of this Society inscribed on Vellum which is hereby awarded him for having on the 25th June 1900 gone to the rescue of a boy who was in imminent danger of drowning in the Surrey Canal, Peckham, and whose life he gallantly saved." Signed at the conclusion as society president by George. Also signed by F. A. C. Claughton, Secretary. In fine condition, with light overall wrinkling.
