Letter to "the Altesse Imperiale madame la Princesse Pauline, Duchesse de Gustalla," in part (translated): "A letter from Madame de Cavour informs me that your Imperial Highness has been a little more indisposed to-day. She also announces to me that this state is coming to an end…The Emperor passed the Niemen on the 24th. The letters I received yesterday are from the 25th written in Kowno. His Majesty is well portrayed and complained of the excessive heat. So here the hostilities started there was nothing serious yet." In fine condition. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope.
