TLS, one page, 6.25 x 8.5, personal letterhead, February 28, [1948]. Letter to Pershing Jung in Bakersfield, California. In part: "'The Rope' is based on Loeb Leopold case of some years ago in which two boys killed a third. I play a professor who solves the case. Alfred Hitchcock directed it and it was one of the most interesting pictures, technically, I ever worked on. My next picture will be a comedy, as yet untitled, with Joan Fontaine, and will go into production in May." In fine condition. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope.
