Muddy Waters's personally-owned and -used Hohner Marine Band harmonica in the key of G, measuring 4″ long, with attached provenance tag: "Harmonica owned & played by McKinley Morganfield AKA 'Muddy Waters' / Purchased from Lillie Burnett, widow of Chester Burnett AKA 'Howlin' Wolf.'" In fine condition. Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from the Memphis Music Hall of Fame Museum, dated 2001, noting that this was owned and played by Muddy Waters, and was part of Howlin' Wolf's collection, purchased from his widow. Also includes a photocopy of the auction notice for the contents of the museum, a brochure for the museum, and a modern photograph of Waters. A fantastic piece of blues history.
