Wonderful pairing of off-white 4 x 6 sheets of Metropolitan Police memo stationery, one signed and inscribed in blue ballpoint, "To Gillian, Paul McCartney," adding a small smiley face, and the other signed in blue ballpoint, "Love from, George Harrison." In overall very good condition, with moderate overall creasing, and a central vertical fold to each. Accompanied by a letter of provenance from the original recipient, in part: “I was a police officer based at Vine Street police station in the Metropolitan Police Force. On April the 27th 1981 I was assigned to police the wedding reception of Ringo Starr and Barbara Bach which was to be held at Rag’s Nightclub. My brief was to manage crowds and paparazzi…I did this and once the crowds outside the club diminished me and another female police officer were invited to join the reception inside the club…I recall Ringo, Paul and George singing Strawberry Fields…They were amazing—sounded just like the record…I met and was introduced to George [who] offered to give me his autograph…After this…Paul McCartney was introduced to me—he was a complete gent—pleasant and assured. He offered his autograph and asked my name and he dedicated it to me.” Also accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from Tracks.
