Two items signed by the premier 1980s girl groups The Go-Go’s and The Bangles: a Go-Go’s “Beauty and the Beat” album, signed on the front cover in black felt tip by Belinda Carlisle, Charlotte Caffey, Jane Wiedlin, Gina Schock, and Kathy Valentine, framed to an overall size of 13.5 x 13.5. In ranking the Go-Go’s album within the top 500 of all time, Rolling Stone Magazine said: ‘The most popular girl group of the New Wave surfed to the top of the charts with ‘We Got the Beat’ and ‘Our Lips Are Sealed.’ And its entire debut welded punkish spirit to party-minded pop.’ The consignor notes that the Go-Go’s album was signed at a VIP meet and greet and contains a limited edition pink vinyl LP; and a limited edition Bangles print, numbered 86/100, signed in black felt tip by Vicki Peterson, Debbi Peterson, and Susanna Hoffs, framed to an overall size of 13.5 x 13.5. About the debut of the Bangles, Rolling Stone reported: ‘They play, they sing, they rock, they swing, they wear minis. They don’t have matching haircuts, but they do make music that melds diverse styles into a bright Beatlesque blast.’ The Bangles item was offered as a limited edition signed item during their recent tour.
