Description

TLS, one page, 7 x 9.25, The Towers of the Waldorf-Astoria letterhead, June 14, 1950. Letter to Todd Purse of Detroit's WXYZ radio station, in full: "I wish to thank you for your extreme thoughtfulness. Your musical salute was positively a most enjoyable birthday gift." Another hand has added above: "This is for Leonard—Cole Porter writes music. Music, that is!" Matted and framed to an overall size of 11.25 x 15.75. In very good condition, with creasing, light toning to the top, and tape stains to two edges.
