Letter to Theodore Sedgwick, in part: "It is a pleasant surprise to see your name and to know that you are for the present in Rome. I have to make it an absolute rule not to receive or to pay visits and not to go out in the evening. My only free time is at lunch; and if you are willing to join me some day here at about 12:45 and to go to lunch with me at some restaurant, I should be very glad to see you and to compare notes on things past and present." In fine condition. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope addressed in his own hand.
