Bank check, 8.25 x 3.25, filled out entirely in Monroe's hand, "To Bank of America, Sunset and Laurel Branch, Los Angeles 46, Calif.," and beautifully signed by Monroe, "Marilyn Monroe," payable to Frank Christon for $35, August 24, 1953. In fine condition. Monroe starred in three movies released in 1953—Niagara, Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, and How to Marry a Millionaire—emerging as one of Hollywood's major sex symbols. An incredibly desirable handwritten check from Hollywood's legendary 'blonde bombshell,' dating to her rise to fame as one of cinema's biggest stars.
