Two items: a vintage glossy 8 x 10 photo of Alston in his Dodgers uniform, signed and inscribed in fountain pen, "Ken, Sincere Best Wishes, Walt Alston"; and an ALS, one page, 7.25 x 10.5, McAllister Hotel letterhead, March 6, 1954, in part: "It's nice to hear from old friends in the baseball world. Sorry about the photograph, but we are here in spring training at present, and have none with us." The reverse of the photo bears a typed notation indicating it was signed in 1954, and bears a "Brooklyn National League Baseball Club" copyright stamp. In very good to fine condition, with scattered light creasing.
