ALS, one page both sides, 6 x 8.25, House of Commons letterhead, January 6, 1970. Letter to Miss Brett and Miss Watson, in full: "First, a happy new year to you both. Thank you very much for your letter of the 15th and for its most interesting reasoning. I believe you are quite right. So much action these days seems to consist in asking the govt. (i.e. someone else) to do something. I have said this to students on many occasions. If they feel strongly about something, they should get the qualifications and earn a living a soon as possible, when they will be in a position to devote our resources to causes of their own choosing. Kind regards." In very good to fine condition, with creasing to the upper right side edge.
