Pulitzer Prize-winning cartoonist (1921-2003) best known for his portrayals of enlisted men enduring the daily privations of military life during World War II. Two items: an ink signature, "Bill Mauldin, Phoenix '66," who adds a small sketch of a man smoking a cigarette on an off-white 5 x 3 card with typed collector's notations, dating the signature to "10/18/66"; and a glossy 8 x 10 photo of Mauldin in a smiling close-up pose, signed and inscribed in blue ballpoint, "For Kenny Brown, Bill Mauldin, 1966, Regards." In overall very good to fine condition, with scattered creasing to the photo.
