Sayers,” one page, 8 x 10, Newland Street letterhead, April 30, 1936. Letter to G. Hopkins of the Oxford University Press, in full: "I am so glad you and your wife can come to the Detection Club party. I have written to the Secretary for the tickets, and you will get yours in a day or two. It is usually black ties (in spite of the grandeur), and dinner will be 7.30 for 7.45. I am supposed to be attending a General Meeting of the Club at 7.15, but should I be late, if you will inquire for the Club Dinner they will put you in a foyer where you will find many friends assembled."
