Payne,” one page, 3.75 x 6.5, no date. Letter to Mr. V. Clirehugh. In full: “Some time ago I left at your establishment a box with some French Toupees; adding to them the one I discarded for a substitute of your make; which, afterwards, I also left, when I obtained a new one from you. May I ask you to oblige me by delivering the whole collection to the Bearer.” In very good condition, with a small edge separation to one mailing fold, diagonal creases to corners, scattered soiling, some brushing to ink, and a toned tape remnant to the top edge.
