Handwritten lyrics to the Oasis song "Live Forever," unsigned, penned in black ballpoint by Noel Gallagher on an off-white 8 x 11.75 sheet of notebook paper. The lyrics, in full: "1. Maybe I don't really want to know / How your garden grows / Cause I just want to fly / Lately did you ever feel the pain / In the morning rain / As it soaks you to the bone / Maybe I just want to fly / I want to live, I don't want to die / Maybe I just want to breathe / Maybe I just don't believe / Maybe you're the same as me / We see things they'll never see / You and I are gonna live forever / 2. I said maybe I don't really want to know / How your garden grows / Cause I just want to fly / Lately did you ever feel the pain / In the morning rain / As it soaks you to the bone / Maybe I will never be / All the things that I want to be / But now is not the time to cry / Now's the time to find out why / I think you're the same as me / We see things they'll never see / You and I are gonna live forever." In very good to fine condition, with scattered creasing and intersecting folds. Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from Tracks. 'Live Forever' was released as the third single from Oasis' debut album Definitely Maybe on August 8, 1994. Inspired by the Rolling Stones song 'Shine a Light,' Gallagher first wrote the song in 1991, before he joined Oasis. Gallagher's brother Liam is on record stating that it's his favorite song to play because he believes the song was written for their mother, Peggy.
