Letter to "Joey," his wife Joan Alt, in part: "'Oh its love—…that you feel when its really for real—when your hearts start to jump with a repitting [sic] bump. When it's really for real.' 'It's love.' Each time I hear it. Gee Jo. Sometimes I stay and listen and I can hear you sing or laugh. Then when I look at all the people & buildings & cars—you're a long way off. But the music is there—on a subway—bus or walking—the music is there in my heart. Sometimes I sing—sometimes I just listen—all the things you are & I am & will be—It's been pretty cold—wind. Have a nice Thanksgiving—with turkey and a feeling of closeness. Ernie & Jean are having me out all this week. They've been real wonderful." In fine condition.
