Group of twelve original vintage color glossy 5 x 3.5 candid photographs of the recovery of Wally Schirra and his Sigma 7 spacecraft following the MA-8 mission, all marked "Jan 63" in the border. Most of the photos show the deck of the recovery ship, the USS Kearsarge, along with the aircraft carrier's planes and helicopters. The Sigma 7 spacecraft is seen in five of the images, including one close-up shot of the capsule's interior. All bear “A Kodak Paper” watermarks on the reverse. In fine condition. These are not reproductions of official NASA glossies, but actually shot onboard by an unidentified person with a camera.
