TLS signed “RFK,” one page, 8 x 10.5, United States Senate letterhead, March 25, 1958. Letter to Arthur G. Kaplan of the Select Committee on Improper Activities in the Labor or Management Field, in part: "I have spoken to the Chairman and he has approved a raise for you. It was our intention that it become effective the 1st of March. However, there has been a debate on a money bill going on in the Senate which would give an automatic raise and I have had to wait to find out what the result of that is going to be before taking any action. When that is ironed out, which I believe will be shortly, then an increase in salary that we want you to have will be forthcoming." At the conclusion, he writes, "You have done a fine job." In fine condition.
