Handsome custom-made 14K gold necklace with a "TCB" lighting logo pendant, weighing 19.5 grams, and a chain measuring approximately 24″ long. The beautiful yellow-gold pendant, marked "14K" on the reverse, measures 1.75″ long and features a delicate diagonal textured design along the lightning bolt. The golden chain has no clasp, as it is intended to be slipped over the head. Complete with its black velvet "Schwartz & Ableser, Beverly Hills" case and receipt from the jeweler, dated June 2, 1977, describing the necklace as "(1) Elvis TCB charm purchased by Elvis in '73 and returned to us for repair." The receipt is signed by Lee Grossman, who acquired the pendant after it had not been picked up for several years. Also includes a full letter of authenticity from Graceland Authenticated.
In October 1970, Elvis Presley placed an initial order for twelve custom "TCB" necklaces—signifying his 'Taking Care of Business' mantra—from jeweler Sol Schwartz, later of Schwartz & Ableser Fine Diamonds and Jewelry in Beverly Hills. These trademark necklaces soon became a favorite gift for close friends and associates—he placed an order for ten more the next day, and this example was evidently purchased and brought back for repair in 1973. Presley continued to have Schwartz & Ableser make TCB necklaces over the years and fix any that were in need of repair. When this spectacular example was not picked up, it passed into Grossman's possession. An iconic piece of Elvis memorabilia.
