Superb pair of vintage glossy studio portraits of James Dean, both approximately 7 x 9, taken by photographer Phil Buchman at Warner Brothers Studios while the actor was filming Rebel Without a Cause. The first photo shows Dean wearing a dark sweater in a pleasant close-up pose, and the second photo depicts Dean in half-length profile, wearing a sports coat and looking off camera with an intense expression. The reverse of both photos bear National Press Features photography stamps and affixed Warner Bros. captions. In overall fine condition, with scattered light creasing, and light impressions from captions attached to the backs. The photos are accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from Tracks.
