American clergyman (1835-1893) best known as the lyricist of the popular Christmas carol 'O Little Town of Bethlehem.' Collection of three TLSs by Phillips Brooks, totaling four pages, 4.75 x 8, Clarendon Street letterhead, dated throughout 1892. The first, in part: "I shall be at your service after my arrival at Lowell, for such disposition as you may choose to make." The second, in part: "I shall be very glad indeed to go to the opening exercises of the Homeopathic Hospital on the 16th of March." The third, in part: "As your train to Lowell comes back so late, I think I should prefer to drive to Chelmsford and return. If you could engage me a carriage at Lowell, I should count it a great favor." In overall very good to fine condition, with irregular toning to one of the letters.
