Upper Hamilton Terrace letterhead, July 21, 1888. Brief letter to Marcus Stone, in part: "I am grieved and mortified to find I must give up altogether the projected trip of the 8th. I have to go out of town on Monday and Tuesday on business." In fine condition. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope addressed in Harte's own hand.
