LS, one page, 8.5 x 11, Tuskegee Normal and Industrial Institute letterhead, April 22, 1905. Letter to Samuel Hamilton of New York, in part: "Our students pay their board partly in work and partly in cash, but they are wholly unable in addition to pay the cost of teaching, which is Fifty Dollars per year for each one. If you can help us, in any measure, however small, to meet the cost of tuition, we shall be very grateful. Our endowment is not sufficient to enable us to run the institution without asking help." In fine condition. A great letter on desirable letterhead.
