Description

British physicist and chemist (1791-1867) best known for his development of the first dynamo and the discovery of electromagnetic induction. ALS signed “M. Faraday,” one page, 4.5 x 7, blindstamped Royal Institute of Great Britain letterhead, April 29, 1862. Letter to James Melvill, in part: "I beg to acknowledge the receipt of the second part of the publication…and to return my sincere thanks for the kindness which has sent it to me." In fine condition.
