Sometimes credited as Mary Visconti, Hopkin is a Welsh folk singer best known for her 1968 chart-topping single 'Those Were The Days,' which was produced by Paul McCartney. The song reached number two on the Billboard Hot 100, trailing only behind The Beatles' classic 'Hey Jude.' Hopkin was one of the first musicians to sign to The Beatles' Apple label.
