Field marshal and commander-in-chief of the British expeditionary forces in France and Flanders during WWI (1861-1928). Third person ANS, one page, 4.5 x 7, Eastcott, Kingston Hill, Surrey letterhead, September 14, 1921. Note directed to J. MacPherson, in full: "F. M. Earl Haig begs to Inclose cheque for £5.8/- in payment of acct." Includes original compliment card. In fine condition, with an erased pencil squiggle through the text.
