Ray Stevenson, brother of Sex Pistols road manager Nils Stevenson, was the most prolific photographer of the Sex Pistols from their earliest days. In 1978 he authored one of the earliest books on the band, Sex Pistols File. Retna was established in 1978 by photographer Michael Putland and is one of the largest independent photo agencies in the world, and licenses photographs for publication.
