Two items personally-owned and -worn by Joey Ramone: a right-handed fingerless black leather glove, size large, with silver stud pattern, Velcro wrist strap, and breathable knuckle holes; and a 7.75″ finger-to-wrist ‘figure eight’ bracelet with silver stud pattern and belt buckle. In overall fine condition, with some rusting to strap and red marks to glove. From the Monte A. Melnick Ramones Collection. These were displayed as part of the “Hey! Ho! Let’s Go: Ramones and the Birth of Punk” exhibit at the Queens Museum in New York from April 10, 2016-July 31, 2016, and the Grammy Museum at L.A. Live from September 16, 2016-February 28, 2017, and are accompanied by the Grammy Museum’s inventory label. Exuding so much of the punk attitude of the late Ramones frontman, this is an an extremely sought-after pairing of worn items, made all the desirable given Joey and the Ramones' well-known affinity for all things leather.
