King Edward appoints Jean Eugene Samuel Forestier, a captain in the French Army, as "an Honorary Member of Our Distinguished Service Order." Signed across the top by the king and countersigned at the conclusion by St John Brodrick. The embossed blue seal affixed at upper left remains intact. In fine condition, with light soiling and a few small edge separations. Accompanied by a typed letter in French transmitting the document.
