Prolific French Romantic composer (1835–1921) of such timeless works as the ‘Organ’ Symphony,’ the opera ‘Samson et Dalila,’ and the perennial concert favorite ‘Carnival of the Animals.’ Untranslated ALS in French, signed “C. Saint-Saens,” one page on the reverse of a 5.25 x 3.25 German postcard, postmarked August 7, 1894. Nicely double-matted and framed with a portrait of the composer to an overall size of 17.75 x 13.5; frame backing has a window to view the reverse of the postcard. In fine condition. Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
