Description

Ferdinand de Lesseps

French diplomat (1805–1894) who spearheaded the project to build the Suez Canal. Engraved portrait of de Lesseps, with a main image area of 4.75 x 6.5 and an overall size of 9 x 11, signed and inscribed in black ink in French. In very good to fine condition, with light overall foxing and newspaper clippings affixed around the perimeter. Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
