Letter to Mr. Hale, in full: "I have just rec'd the enclosed from Mr. Thomas—Don't do anything about this matter till I see Mr. Thomas—as I supposed he had assented but it seems not exactly." Stapled to the front of the letter is a brief missive from John W. Thomas to Cooke, relating to the referenced Mr. Hale. In very good to fine condition, with creasing to the bottom of the letter and light brushing to the initials. Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
