Handwritten note by Prince, unsigned, one page, 8.5 x 11, no date. A note to his assistant concerning his collaboration with Margie Cox. In full: "Therese, please send one cassette 2 Margie & one 2 Greg Sain with lyrics. Corrections 2 be made on lyrics are on my desk. Tell the 2 of them I'd like them 2 sing A.S.A.P. 2night perhaps. Margie has all high parts and B.G's Greg has low parts and B.G's. Please tell my band 2 continue with list and I'll try 2 come in late. Was up all night. Also reschedule Earl 4 3:00 p.m. unless called." In fine condition, with creasing to three corners. From the collection of Prince’s assistant Therese Stoulil. Margie Cox was a local singer and Prince had just written a song, 'Standing At The Alter,' with her in mind; she did record vocals that night along with Greg Sain. The song was eventually released on Prince's 1994 1-800-NEW-FUNK album. Accompanied by a letter of provenance from Therese Stoulil. Pre-certified REAL.
