TLS as president, one page, 7 x 8.75, October 22, 1918. Letter to Samuel S. Dennis, in full: “I wish with all my heart that I could be present at the dinner you are going to give to Dr. Mott on the twenty-ninth, not only because I have the highest esteem for Dr. Mott but also because I have the deepest possible interest in the great united war work campaign upon which we are about to enter. My duties imperatively detain me here, but my heart will be with you.” In very good to fine condition, with a block of light toning from prior display, and somewhat fuzzy signature quality. Accompanied by a sepia matte-finish 5 x 6.5 portrait of Wilson, signed below by the photographer, as well as the original White House mailing envelope. Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
