Uncommon ALS, one page, 7.25 x 10.5, personal letterhead, no date but postmarked September 3, 1975. Letter to Sylvia Lyons, wife of New York Post columnist Leonard Lyons, evidently responding to an inquiry about hypothetical plans. In part: “I would continue pretty much as now except I would not play as often. I would buy more art, get more involved in South Africa…but very little else would change.” In fine condition. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope addressed in his own hand. Ashe bested Jimmy Connors to take his only Wimbledon just months earlier in July 1975. Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
