American actor (1886–1971) best known for his character roles alongside such early comic giants as Charlie Chaplin and W. C. Fields. Semi-glossy 10.25 x 13.25 close-up publicity portrait of Conklin by Eugene Robert Richee, signed and inscribed in fountain pen, “To my good friend Peggy, ‘just for fun,’ Chester.” Lower right corner bears a Richee blindstamp, with the reverse stamped twice by Paramount Pictures.
