Actor (1914–1959) best remembered for his role as Superman in the popular 1950s television series. His homicide at the age of 45 remains one of the great unsolved mysteries of Hollywood lore. Amazing glossy 8 x 10 full-length photo of Reeves standing arms akimbo as Superman, signed and inscribed in fountain pen, “To Ann, thanks for watching, George ‘Superman’ Reeves.” In very good condition, with moderate overall creasing, and a small light red mark to upper left background. Despite playing the last son of Krypton for all six seasons of the television show Adventures of Superman, Reeves remains quite rare in signed photos. Imposing full-length portraits of Reeves as his most famous character, such as this very example, are virtually nonexistent, with this photo augmented furthermore by Reeves’ addition of “Superman.” Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
