Manuscript DS, signed “A. Burr,” one page, 7.75 x 3.5, May 22, 1820. Promissory note, in full: “Ninety Days after date I promise to pay C. G. Fontaine or order one Hundred and Seventy five dollars for Value received.” Encapsulated in a plastic PSA/DNA authentication holder. In very good condition, with reinforced vertical folds, show-through from endorsements to reverse, a small split through the first letter of Burr’s last name, and tape repairs to small tears created by ink erosion.
