Three items: a color satin-finish 8 x 10 photo of President Bush, signed and inscribed in the lower border in blue felt tip, “Sean Robbins—Best wishes, George Bush”; and two TLSs signed “Barbara Bush,” dated November 30, 1988, and March 20, 1989, personal and White House letterhead. The earlier letter, in part: “Thank you so very much for your kind letter. I do have a great concern for the homeless and I know that George Bush is also deeply concerned.” The second letter, in part: “It was very nice of you to offer your good home to one of Millie’s puppies when they arrive. Unfortunately, we already have homes for all of them, but we thank you for thinking of us.” Barbara adds brief handwritten postscripts to both letters. Includes a color satin-finish 10 x 8 photo of Millie the English Springer Spaniel in a rose bed, signed with paw print in blue ink, as well as an unsigned hardcover copy of Millie’s Book. In overall very good to fine condition, with some creasing to the George Bush photo. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope for the earlier letter.
