In good to very good condition, with heavy overall creasing. The railroad became famous in the Andrews Raid, often called the Great Locomotive Chase, on the morning of April 12, 1862, when James J. Andrews and his Union raiders commandeered one of the Western & Atlantic trains and rode toward Chattanooga, doing as much damage to the rail as they could along the way.
