Partly-printed vellum DS as president, one page, 15 x 18.75, March 26, 1829. President Jackson appoints John W. Mooers as “Lieutenant in the Navy, (to take rank from 17 May 1828) in the service of the United States.” Signed at the conclusion by Jackson, and countersigned by John Branch as secretary of the Navy. Embossed white seal affixed to lower center remains intact. In very good to fine condition, with moderate overall wrinkling and several extra intersecting folds. Accompanied by a full letter of authenticity from PSA/DNA.
