The ballot opens to alphabetically list nominations for all twenty categories, with an interior fold reading, “Results of all balloting will be announced at the Annual Academy Awards Presentation, Thursday, March 20, 1952, RKO Pantages Theatre, Mail Your Ballot Today, Do NOT Sign This Ballot, Mail it in the enclosed envelope to Price, Waterhouse & Co. for tabulation.” Also includes the original 36-page Reminder List of Eligible Releases for the 24th Academy Awards. In fine condition. Consignor notes that the ballot originates from the estate of Billy Wilder. Top award winners from that night’s festivities include An American in Paris for Best Picture, Humphrey Bogart for Best Actor in The African Queen, Vivien Leigh for Best Actress in A Streetcar Named Desire, and George Stevens for Best Director for A Place in the Sun.
