Description

Edmund North

American screenwriter (1911-1990) who wrote such classic films as The Day the Earth Stood Still and Patton, the latter earning him an Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay in 1970. DS, three pages, 8.5 x 11, October 21, 1938. Employment contract between Samuel Goldwyn and North in which the latter agrees to become “an assistant to Robert Riskin, or any other of our Producers who we may designate from time to time” for a rate of $300 per week. Signed at the conclusion in fountain pen by North. In fine condition. Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
