Roger Daltrey’s stage-worn vintage sterling silver Mexican cross by Taxco, measuring 2 x 3, and engraved on the reverse as MMP 925 with the maker’s hallmark below. In fine condition. Accompanied by three photos showing Daltrey wearing the cross around his neck, including one of Daltrey on the album ‘The Who Sell Out.’ Consignor notes that the cross pendant was found on the ground at a Who concert at the Musicarnival in Warrensville Heights, Ohio, on July 14, 1968. Frustrated with the faulty Sunn equipment they were provided with during the tour, the Who band members proceeded to wreck their instruments, amps, and cabinets before leaving the stage. Before the band would return to play with borrowed gear from the opening act Cyrus Erie, audience members scrambled to gather the various bits and pieces of demolished equipment near the stage floor. A unique stage- and album-worn item from The Who’s legendary frontman and founder.
