Richard Mentor Johnson

American politician (1780–1850) who served as vice president under Martin Van Buren. ALS signed “Rch. M. Johnson,” one page, 8 x 10, no date. In full: “Please receive the within as the application of Capt. Fanning.” Addressed on the reverse in another hand, “To The President of The U. S., Washington, D. C.” In very good to fine condition, with edge toning and seal-related paper loss. Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
