The swatch is laminated to a 3.25 x 2.75 presentation card for John P. Michalski, reading: “Presented in appreciation of your role in Apollo 14’s success. This small portion of the lunar surface safety line was carried by the astronauts on the moon’s surface February 5–6, 1971.” In fine condition. Accompanied by a satin-finish 8 x 10 photo of Shepard on the lunar surface, showing the equipment cart he used to store the safety line.
