Set of six TLSs signed “Eddie” or “Eddie Rickenbacker,” totaling seven pages, 7.25 x 10.5, personal letterhead, dated between 1967 and 1968. Each letter is addressed to Daniel H. Drake. The earliest, dated May 25, 1967, in part: “I shall be happy to see that you get two copies of my autobiography as soon as they are available, which will be the early part of October…The book will be approximately 500 pages, with extra pages including a hundred photographs that will be placed so they will fit into the different phases of the book.” Another, dated March 18, 1968, in part: “Your letter of February 27 was awaiting me on my return from a tour of several weeks throughout the Northwest section of the country, ending in Chicago and Indianapolis, helping to fan the flames for the booksellers covering sales of my autobiography.” In overall fine condition.
