ALS signed “Sheridan,” one page both sides, 5 x 7.75, January 25, 1872. Letter to Mr. Comstock, in full: “With great pleasure I enclose the autograph asked for. I hope we may have the pleasure of seeing you over this way soon. With kind regards to Mrs. Comstock and yourself.” In very good condition, with horizontal mailing fold touching the tip of one letter of the signature, uniform blocks of irregular toning, rusty paperclip marks and a red pencil notation to upper left corner, and some adhesive remnants to reverse.
