Saturn V Third Stage (S-IVB) Fill and Drain Bellows, measuring approximately 13.5″ long and 5″ in diameter, labeled at the top, “Bellows, Fill and Drain Line, Oxidizer Tank-External, Marman P/N 59220-501…Douglas Spec. No. 1A49971-501, Contract No. NAS 7-101, Marman Serial No. 48, Date: 12-7-70.” In fine condition. The stainless steel bellows served as the conduit for transfer of liquid oxygen between the Saturn V third stage propellant tank and external storage reservoir during tanking and offload operations. The bellows includes flexible coupling to compensate for thermal expansion/contraction associated with handling the cryogenic liquid oxygen.
