Adored Italian operatic soprano of the early 20th century (1889–1936). Scarce vintage matte-finish 8 x 10 full-length photo of Muzio posing in an ornate gown by the Daguerre Studio of Chicago, signed and inscribed in black ink, “To my good friend, Max Nickell, remembering the good old days at the Metropolitan, Claudia Muzio, 1932.” Slight edgewear and soiling, some silvering to dark areas of the image, and fair contrast to portions of the signature and inscription against the dark background, otherwise fine condition.
